Having worked with many different systems during my corporate days, I can't go past Xero. While they all generally do the same kind of thing, I find Xero highly intuitive and user friendly even if you don't have a financial background. Note: like any system, it is only as useful as the data you give it, so keeping it up to date will help you get the most out of the tool.
